Let me start out by saying I was very skeptical because of the Google 5 star review. No one legitimately has that I figured. But as I sought out companies to quote me for completely replacing my lawn, improving the drainage, and improving my walkway, I figured whatever problems that customers might have, somehow this company responds and convinces their customers that they deserve a 5 star review. Next I found that most companies / contractors were incredibly slow in coming over to give us a quote or providing that quote once they came by. Rocco Djosey was very quick in coming over and getting us a quote. He said he wouldn't be the cheapest but we'd be very happy with his work. As the other quotes came in slowly, Rocco checked in regularly. His persistence is something I really appreciated. Too often when we need work done there is lack of follow through. I figured this kind of persistence might pay off in the job. Once the quotes were all in, Djosey Landscapes was solidly in the mix. Based on Rocco's follow through and the reviews, we decided to hire them. They scheduled promptly for about 2 weeks out. They were there when promised. The work crew were courteous and worked hard. The forewoman was knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and get us posted on the progress. In the process of removing the lawn with a Bobcat, there was a mishap. The bucket hit our metal fence and damaged it. The forewoman was away when it happened. The workers showed her what occurred upon her return. She came to me and said they would take care of it. The project was a 4 day job, and before completion, the section of fence was repaired to new condition. That is where reliability is so important - not just so things go right, but also when things go wrong. The crew graded, laid down topsoil and the sod, installed a French drain, and laid down a beautiful walkway. When the job was completed, the crew cleaned up, and Rocco went over everything with us including how to irrigate. The next day I noticed that some of the irrigation heads were not set quite right. I texted Rocco, and he came out personally to make adjustments. We couldn't be happier with the results of this project.

The job got started on time and without delay. The professionals that work for Djosey are exactly that, professionals, when prepping the area for the pavers, they meticulously leveled the area, I mean, I could not believe what I was seeing, they spent hours making sure it was right and ready for pavers. They took no shortcuts to complete the patio in a couple of days. To sum it up, I feel that I defiantly got what I paid for and then some, Djosey EXCEEDED our expectations and left us with an incredible outdoor space for our pergola, hot tub, fire pit, grill, tables and chairs, yet to be delivered. What a gem of a landscape company! After interviewing 5 landscapers for the Leland/Wilmington area, we chose DJosey Brothers, LLC because they were responsive, professional and knowledgeable. What a great decision. Rocco communicated with us as our new home was being built to ensure his timing was compatible with ours and occupancy. He knows his plants and was great pointing out drought tolerant plantings. He showed up when he said he would. His team was polite and very nice on site. He completed the property grading. He established plants, trees, irrigation, low voltage lighting, needles, mulch and a flagstone path for us. He also payed it out prior to installation so we could see the vision and make any changes. Djosey Brothers Landscape was recommended to us by a sod farm we contacted to install new zoysia sod. Rocco came out, measured our yard, recommend removing all grass down to grade level, fill with sifted top soil and laid new zoysia sod which brought the sod up to the driveway and landscaping height, clean up after the work was finished. They trimmed Palms, dug the deepest, most distinctive edges I’ve ever seen. Topped with gorgeous mulch artfully applied. The yard looks wonderful. There are a couple of other chores here when it’s appropriate to tackle them. I have complete confidence in Djosey Landscaping. You will too.
